Chapter’s Name: Aatma Sanyam Yoga
Dhyaan yoga has been described in detail in this sixth chapter because it is useful in both ‘Karmayoga’ and ‘Sankhyayoga’.
In Dhyaan yoga, controlling the body, senses, mind, and intellect is very important. These are all called ‘Aatma,’ and in this chapter, its control is specially described; hence, this chapter has been named ‘Aatma Sanyam Yoga‘.

Self-Mastery Through Meditation: The Path to Inner Peace and Liberation
Equality should be achieved in the heart by any means; because without equality, a man cannot remain equal (unaffected) in favorable and unfavorable circumstances, in respect and disrespect, and if he wants to meditate on God, he cannot meditate either.
It means that without equality in the heart, the effect of the conflicts of happiness and sorrow will not end and the mind will also not be able to concentrate on meditation.
The man who remains equal in favorable and unfavorable circumstances received according to destiny, in the fulfillment and non-fulfillment of the deeds being done in the present, in success and failure, in respect and disrespect done by others, in wealth and property, etc., in good and bad people, is the best.
The one who meditates on God with the restraint of the mind and senses, keeping the aim of equality as the goal, gets equal understanding towards all the creatures and their happiness and sorrows.
The man who desires to achieve equality transcends the karmas for material gain mentioned in the Vedas. A man with equality is superior to the ascetics, wise, and active people with selfish motives.
